The drug LEMA ERN C contains a combination of these active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs):
1
Sodium perborate
UNII Y52BK1W96C - SODIUM PERBORATE
|
Sodium perborate is chemical compound that undergoes hydrolysis in contact with water, producing hydrogen peroxide and borate. Sodium perborate serves as a stable source of active oxygen in many detergents, laundry detergents, cleaning products, and laundry bleaches. Sodium perborate releases oxygen rapidly at temperatures over 60 ยฐC. To make it active at lower temperatures (40–60 ยฐC), it has to be mixed with a suitable activator, typically tetraacetylethylenediamine (TAED). The compound has antiseptic properties and can act as a disinfectant. |
2
Vitamin C
UNII PQ6CK8PD0R - ASCORBIC ACID
|
Ascorbic acid, coupled with dehydroascorbic acid to which it is reversibly oxidised, has a variety of functions in cellular oxidation processes. Ascorbic acid is required in several important hydroxylations, including the conversion of proline to hydroxyproline and appears to have an important role in metal ion metabolism, including the gastrointestinal absorption of iron and its transport between plasma and storage organs. |
