Ondansetron can be administered orally.

For oral administration: 16mg one hour prior to anaesthesia.

Intravenous, 4 milligrams ondansetron, once daily, one dose.

Detailed description

Ondansetron can be administered by intravenous injection.

Ondansetron may be administered as a single dose of 4 mg given by slow intravenous injection at induction of anaesthesia.

For treatment of established PONV: A single dose of 4 mg given by slow intravenous injection is recommended.
