Active Ingredient: Tecovirimat
Tecovirimat is indicated for the treatment of the following viral infections in adults and children with body weight at least 13 kg:
Tecovirimat is also indicated to treat complications due to replication of vaccinia virus following vaccination against smallpox in adults and children with body weight at least 13 kg.
For this indication, competent medicine agencies globally authorize below treatments:
Oral
400 - 1,200 mg
From 200 To 600 mg 2 time(s) per day every day
The recommended doses are described in Table 1.

If vomiting occurs within 30 minutes of taking tecovirimat hard capsules, another dose may be administered immediately. If vomiting occurs more than 30 minutes after taking tecovirimat hard capsules, no additional dose should be given and dosing should resume as usual after 12 hours.
Tecovirimat hard capsules should be taken within 30 minutes after a meal of moderate or high fat.
