The mechanism of stimulating hair growth from minoxidil is not fully understood, but some actions of minoxidil include increasing hair diameter, stimulating new growth and prolonging the developmental phase, and stimulating hair follicle transition from resting phase (telogen) in the growth phase (regenerative). |
