Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Niraparib is indicated as monotherapy for the maintenance treatment of adult patients with advanced epithelial (FIGO Stages III and IV) high-grade ovarian, fallopian tube or primary peritoneal cancer who are in response (complete or partial) following completion of first-line platinum-based chemotherapy.

200 mg or 300 mg once daily

Dosage regimens

Regimen A: Oral, 200 milligrams niraparib, once daily.

Regimen B: In case that patient weight is ≥ 77 kg, oral, 300 milligrams niraparib, once daily.

Detailed description

The recommended starting dose of niraparib is 200 mg, taken once daily. However, for those patients who weigh ≥77 kg and have baseline platelet count ≥150,000/μL, the recommended starting dose of niraparib is 300 mg, taken once daily.

Patients should be encouraged to take their dose at approximately the same time each day. Bedtime administration may be a potential method for managing nausea.

It is recommended that treatment should be continued until disease progression or toxicity.

Missing dose

If patients miss a dose, they should take their next dose at its regularly scheduled time.

Dosage considerations

It can be taken without regard to meals.
