Betamethasone is primarily used for its potent anti-inflammatory effects in disorders of many organ systems. Including rheumatic disorders, collagen disease, dermatological diseases, respiratory diseases, allergic states and haematological disorders.
Orally.
Requirements are variable and must be individualized on the basis of the disease under treatment and response of the patient.
Usual dosage range: 0.5mg to 9mg daily in divided doses.
Store in airtight container in a cool, dry place. Protect from light, replace cover firmly after each dose. Keep out of reach of children.
It is available as blue coloured, scored tablet packed in polythene lined lid tins of 500’s and 1000’s.
