Active substances of Pantogar are vitamins, dietary supplements, amino acids and proteins.
Vitamins (thiamine mononitrate and calcium-D-pantothenate, also vitamins in medicinal yeast) are essential for physiological metabolism. Deficiency symptoms appear if there is lack of vitamins in daily diet. Keratin is the most essential constituent of the hair and nails. It fortifies hair and nails along with L-cystine and para-aminobenzoic acid.
Pantogar capsules reduce hair loss of various reasons improving the hair structure and increasing the resistance of the hair to chemical and mechanical damage. Also this preparation stimulates nail growth and fortifies them.
No studies regarding Pantogar pharmacokinetics have been performed. Vitamins of the preparation are absorbed in the upper part of gastrointestinal tract. Components of amino acids formed after keratin hydrolysis (L-cystine and para-aminobenzoic acid) are absorbed by passive diffusion and (or) specific transport system is involved.
Active substances of Pantogar are components of usual diet, also in various countries they are used as dietary supplements. Non-clinical data reveal no special hazard for humans based on conventional studies of safety pharmacology, repeated dose toxicity, genotoxicity, carcinogenic potential, toxicity to reproduction and development.
