Therapeutic indications

Dihydrocodeine and Paracetamol is indicated for:

Mild to moderate pain

Population group: only adolescents (12 years - 18 years old) , adults (18 years old or older)

at least one of

Moderate pain
Severe pain

For this indication, competent medicine agencies globally authorize below treatments (click for details):

For patients aged 12-15 years old 500 mg/10 mg of paracetamol/dihydrocodeine every 4-6 h and for patients >16 years old 500 mg/10 mg or 1000 mg/20 mg every 4-6 h

500 mg/10 mg or 1000 mg/20 mg of paracetamol/dihydrocodeine every 4-6 h

Contraindications

Dihydrocodeine and Paracetamol is contraindicated in the following cases:

Respiratory depression

Decreased respiratory function

Chronic obstructive airways disease

Chronic obstructive lung disease

Liver disease

Hepatopathy
