Eptotermin alfa

Therapeutic indications

Eptotermin alfa is indicated for:

Non-union of tibia secondary to trauma

Population group: only adults (18 - 65 years old)

Treatment of non-union of tibia of at least 9 month duration, secondary to trauma, in skeletally mature patients, in cases where previous treatment with autograft has failed or use of autograft is unfeasible.

Contraindications

Eptotermin alfa is contraindicated in the following cases:

Skeletal immaturity

Congenital anomaly of skeletal bone

Rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, Sjรถgren's syndrome, dermatomyositis, polymyositis

at least one of
Rheumatoid arthritis
Systemic lupus erythematosus
Morphea
Sicca syndrome
Dermatomyositis
Polymyositis

Active infection at the site of non-union or active systemic infection

Infectious disease

Vertebral fracture

Fracture of vertebral column

Pathological fractures, metabolic bone disease, tumours

at least one of
Pathological fracture
Metabolic bone disease
Neoplastic disease

Chemotherapy, radiation treatment, immunosuppression

at least one of
Administration of antineoplastic agent
Antineoplastic agents
