Pertuzumab and Trastuzumab

Therapeutic indications

Pertuzumab and Trastuzumab is indicated for:

HER2-positive breast cancer

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Early breast cancer (EBC)

Pertuzumab/trastuzumab combination is indicated for use in combination with chemotherapy in:

the neoadjuvant treatment of adult patients with HER2-positive, locally advanced, inflammatory, or early stage breast cancer at high risk of recurrence
the adjuvant treatment of adult patients with HER2-positive early breast cancer at high risk of recurrence

Metastatic breast cancer (MBC)

Pertuzumab/trastuzumab combination is indicated for use in combination with docetaxel in adult patients with HER2-positive metastatic or locally recurrent unresectable breast cancer, who have not received previous anti-HER2 therapy or chemotherapy for their metastatic disease.

For this indication, competent medicine agencies globally authorize below treatments (click for details):

1,200 mg of pertuzumab and 600 mg of trastuzumab and thereafter 600 mg of pertuzumab and 600 mg of trastuzumab once every 3 weeks

Contraindications

Pertuzumab and Trastuzumab is contraindicated in the following cases:

Lactation

Symptomatic heart failure

Symptomatic congestive heart failure
