Rifampicin and Isoniazid

Therapeutic indications

Rifampicin and Isoniazid is indicated for:

Tuberculosis

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

All forms of tuberculosis, including fresh, advanced and chronic cases.

For patients weighing <50 kg 450 mg of rifampicin and 300 mg of isoniazid, for patients weighing ≥50 kg 600 mg of rifampicin and 300 mg of isoniazid

Contraindications

Rifampicin and Isoniazid is contraindicated in the following cases:

Antibiotics causing vitamin K dependent coagulopathy

at least one of

First-generation cephalosporins
Second-generation cephalosporins
Third-generation cephalosporins
Fourth-generation cephalosporins
Other cephalosporins
