Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir

Therapeutic indications

Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir is indicated for:

Chronic hepatitis C virus infection

Population group: only children (1 year - 12 years old) , adolescents (12 years - 18 years old) , adults (18 years old or older)

Sofosbuvir/velpatasvir combination is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in patients 3 years of age and older.

For this indication, competent medicine agencies globally authorize below treatments (click for details):

400 mg sofosbuvir and 100 mg velpatasvir once daily for 12 weeks

For patients weighting <17 150 mg sofosbuvir and 37.5 mg velpatasvir once daily, for patients weighting 17 to <30 kg 200 mg/50 mg once daily and for patients weighting ≥30 kg 400 mg/100 mg once daily, for 12 weeks

Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir is contraindicated in the following cases:
