Therapeutic indications

Valsartan and Sacubitril is indicated for:

Symptomatic chronic heart failure with reduced ejection

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Chronic systolic heart failure

Chronic heart failure with left ventricular systolic dysfunction

Population group: only children (1 year - 12 years old) , adolescents (12 years - 18 years old)

Sacubitril/valsartan is indicated in children and adolescents aged one year or older for treatment of symptomatic chronic heart failure with left ventricular systolic dysfunction.

Contraindications

Valsartan and Sacubitril is contraindicated in the following cases:

Pregnancy

Pregnancy

Lactation

End-stage renal disease

Renal failure stage 5: Kidney failure (GFR <15 mL/min/1.73 m2 or dialysis)

Hereditary or idiopathic angioedema

at least one of
Hereditary angioneurotic edema
Idiopathic angio-oedema

History of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor or ARB therapy

Angioedema caused by angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitor

Serum potassium level >5.4 mmol/l in adult patients and >5.3 mmol/l in paediatric patients
