Therapeutic indications

Vorapaxar is indicated for:

Reduction of therothrombotic events in history of myocardial infarction (MI)

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Vorapaxar is indicated for the reduction of atherothrombotic events in adult patients with a history of myocardial infarction (MI), co-administered with acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) and, where appropriate, clopidogrel.

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Vorapaxar is indicated for the reduction of atherothrombotic events in adult patients with symptomatic peripheral arterial disease (PAD), co-administered with acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) or, where appropriate, clopidogrel.

Contraindications

Vorapaxar is contraindicated in the following cases:

Severe hepatic impairment

Hepatic failure stage IV

Bleeding

Bleeding

Intracranial haemorrhage (ICH)

at least one of
Intracranial hemorrhage
History of subarachnoid hemorrhage
History of cerebral hemorrhage
History of subdural hematoma

Stroke, transient ischaemic attack (TIA)

at least one of
CVA - Cerebrovascular accident
H/O: CVA
Temporary cerebral vascular dysfunction
History of transient ischemic attack
