Therapeutic indications

Attenuated varicella-zoster virus is indicated for:

Herpes zoster, post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN)

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Varicella-zoster virus is indicated for prevention of herpes zoster (“zoster” or shingles) and herpes zoster-related post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN).

It is indicated for immunization of individuals 50 years of age or older.
