Therapeutic indications

Zuclopenthixol is indicated for:

Schizophrenia, psychoses

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Schizophrenia
Psychotic disorder

For this indication, competent medicine agencies globally authorize below treatments (click for details):

20-30 mg daily increasing as necessary till 50 mg daily

50-150 mg zuclopenthixol acetate for 2 weeks followed by 20-150 mg/day oral zuclopenthixol after 2-3 days of the last injection or 200-400 mg of zuclopenthixol decanoate injection every 2-4 weeks

Chronic schizophrenia and other chronic psychoses

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

20 mg daily and thereafter 20-40 mg daily

Contraindications

Zuclopenthixol is contraindicated in the following cases:

Circulatory collapse

Shock

Depressed level of consciousness

Decreased level of consciousness

Coma
