Therapeutic indications

Bisacodyl is indicated for:

Relief of constipation

Population group: only adolescents (12 years - 18 years old) , adults (18 years old or older)

  • Short term relief of constipation.
  • Constipation, either chronic or of recent onset, whenever a stimulant laxative is required.

Contraindications

Bisacodyl is contraindicated in the following cases:

Ileus, intestinal obstruction, appendicitis, acute inflammatory bowel diseases, nausea, vomiting, severe abdominal pain
