Contraindications

Bupivacaine is contraindicated in the following cases:

Intravenous regional anaesthesia (Bier's-block)

Biers block

Hypersensitivity to bupivacaine

Bupivacaine allergy

Active disease of the central nervous system

Encephalomyeloneuropathy

Pyogenic infection of the skin

Pyoderma

Cardiogenic shock, hypovolaemic shock
