Cetirizine is indicated for:

Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria

Population group: only children (1 year - 12 years old) , adolescents (12 years - 18 years old) , adults (18 years old or older)

Cetirizine dihydrochloride is indicated in adults and paediatric patients 6 years and above:

  • for the relief of nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.
  • for the relief of symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Contraindications

Cetirizine is contraindicated in the following cases:

Severe renal impairment

Renal failure stage 5: Kidney failure (GFR <15 mL/min/1.73 m2 or dialysis)
