Therapeutic indications

Iptacopan is indicated for:

Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Iptacopan is indicated as monotherapy in the treatment of adult patients with paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) who have haemolytic anaemia.

Contraindications

Iptacopan is contraindicated in the following cases:

Lactation

Lactation

Infection caused by encapsulated bacteria

at least one of
Meningococcal infectious disease
Streptococcal pneumonia
Otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae
Sinusitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae
Haemophilus influenzae infection

Severe hepatic impairment

Hepatic failure stage IV

Patients unvaccinated against Neisseria meningitidis and Streptococcus pneumoniae

at least one of
not Meningococcal vaccines
not Pneumococcal vaccines
not Haemophilus influenzae B, purified antigen conjugated
